¦1. Content¦
This is a text file open support program for Pocket Post Pet.
It is a general-purpose version of Doppelganger pword.
When Pocket Memo Pad tries to open a file larger than 28KB, a dialog box will appear saying "The file is too large to open in Notepad. Would you like to open it in Pocket Word?" and the file will try to start Pocket Word. However, since Pocket Post Pet does not contain Pocket Word, the file cannot be opened as is.
Kei's method of renaming the editor to pword.exe and copying it to the Windows folder is a good method, but if you put the editor in the main memory, it will use up a lot of space. Also, you will no longer be able to use the original file name.
So, this program uses a small program as a scapegoat and calls up an editor to replace PocketWord from there.
The following files are included in doppl200.lzh.
doppelganger2.exe Doppelganger 2 body
doppelganger.ini configuration file
doppelganger.txt Description (this file)
¦4. How to use¦
When you try to open a file larger than 28KB from Pocket Notepad, this program will be called after the message "Do you want to open it in Pocket Word?"
Doppelganger will open the file by calling the editor specified in doppelganger.ini instead of PocketWord.

Installation Instructions
¦3. Install/Uninstall¦
(1) Installation
Please rename doppelganger2.exe to pword.exe and copy it to the Windows folder. Also, copy doppelganger.ini to the Windows folder.
(Please put the renamed doppelganger2.exe and doppelganger.ini in the same folder).
The contents of doppelganger.ini are as follows, so please rewrite the path name in "path=" to match your environment. For "doublequote=", set Y if your editor requires double quotes, or N if they do not.
Example) If Super Editor F99 is located in the \Multimedia Card\CE\Tools folder of MMC
[pword]
path=\Multimedia Card\CE\Tools\spedce.exe
doublequote=N
Example) If Pocket WZ EDITOR is located in the \Multimedia Card\CE\MIPS1 folder of MMC
[pword]
path=\Multimedia Card\CE\MIPS1\WZEDITOR.EXE
doublequote=Y
(For PWZ, doppelganger pword is recommended over this software).
(2) Uninstall
Please delete pword.exe (doppelganger2.exe) and doppelganger.ini.
doppelganger2.exe does not use the registry.
